Cook, Clare Elizabeth (2018) Key Note: Unlocking Media Innovation, November 2018, Lausanne to launch the  Initiative for Media Innovation – a consortium of public and private partners including the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG), media group Ringier, the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), and Triangle Azur, a cooperation network between the Universities of GenevaLausanne and Neuchâtel. Supported by the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM), IMI is hosted within the EPFL Innovation Park and is open to all private and public organizations, in Switzerland or abroad, active in the media and IT sector with an annual budget of 650,000 Swiss francs.

Sandpit participant – Technology Strategy Board and Nesta Destination Local programme (2012-2016) The Technology Strategy Board & NESTA worked in partnership to offer two parallel funding competitions intended to identify the technologies, business models, content opportunities and challenges for a successful hyperlocal media sector in the UK.  The joint programme is called Destination Local. TSB £600,000 to explore the feasibility of cross media platforms and enabling technologies.
